Great weather and, overall, a great ride. Going to these events shows me one end of the biking spectrum to the other. From people riding clapped out hybrids (while wearing gym shorts - ouch) to the hammerheads in high-end carbon. The ride was well-supported, as always, but I question (as everyone did) 10 miles or so of gravel roads. I like to think of them as Ohio's version of the cobbles in the TDF.
Riding with this kind of varied group leads to some questionable gear choices. To whit: Bike jerseys have pockets in the back for a reason. SO what's with the fanny packs or other crap hanging from a belt around your waist? Especially if you have a rack and giant bag on the back of your bike. Also, charity rides like this are generally well-supported. Why are you stuffing your pockets with every innertube/tool/energy bar you own? Just askin' I don't think less of you, hell you were out there grinding away with the rest of us, and for that you deserve credit.
